A complete range of utility services for every business

Energy contracts for your electricity and gas are typically split into two segments; commodity charges, which is the cost associated with the production of the energy source, and non-commodity charges, which relate to the distribution costs and government charges associated with the delivery of energy to your business. Based on your business’s specific needs, there are different contracts available to you:

Flexible trading: Both the distribution costs and the energy costs are purchased in smaller “time blocks” based on each day’s market valuation, allowing businesses to take advantage of favourable price changes in the market and avoiding costs associated with inbuilt risk. These contracts are useful for businesses with a high usage, variable energy consumption that want to capitalise on market movements.

Pass Through: Commodity costs for energy are fixed for the duration of the contract, but the non-commodity charges remain flexible. This is a great option for businesses able to modify shift patterns to avoid peak power usage times and triad charges. Partly fixed: Similar to a Pass Through contract, a partially fixed energy contract allows you to instead fix the non-commodity charges for the duration of the contract, then purchase energy in a series of blocks over the term of the contract. This is a good option for businesses who want a degree of flexibility in their purchase of energy but want to avoid risks associated with government levy increases or peak power penalties.

Fixed: All costs associated with the distribution of energy to you and the energy itself are fixed for a set period. This type of contract is good if you are a business which wants to mitigate against short term price increases and stabilise your energy expenditure for the duration of a contract.
